THRILL AND TREATS. Well over 8 000 Barbadians and visitors thronged Bushy Park yesterday as the Barbados Auto Racing League season got off to a scorching start. Roger ÒThe SheriffÓ Skeete returned to the St Philip circuit after a 11-year break to emerge champion driver. Skeete won all the races in Group 3C and capped it off by blitzing all in the final race of the day, the Handicap. One of the highlights of the day was this amazing run by Adrian Bailey competing in Group 1B. Driving a Peugot 205 GTI, Bailey hit the kerb, blew a tyre and made a stunning two-wheel turn around a S-bend in the top turn Ð without flipping over.
