THE ANNUAL Barbados Cricket Masters Tournament is around the corner.

The tournament, which has been going for more than 25 years, bowls off on February 11.

While organisers are still finalising fixtures, teams have been invited to a meeting on Friday at the Securicor office in Black Rock, St Michael.

Each club is asked to send at least one representative and to return the competition's application form.

Four new teams have applied to take part but their participation is still to be confirmed.

Thirty-six teams competed in last year's tournament which was won by St Catherine.

That competition was divided into six zones, but organisers are considering reducing this season's tournament to four groups with a view to giving teams more matches. (HG)
