After much pomp and ceremony 60-year-old Portia Simpson-Miller was yesterday sworn in as Prime Minister by Governor-General Professor Kenneth Hall at KingÕs House, the official residence of the governor-general in Kingston. Simpson-Miller took over the reins of the ruling PeopleÕs National Party from P.J. Patterson, who led Jamaica for the past 14 years.
