FIVE CHRISTIAN GROUPS have promised to support one another with their respective activities in the island.

The first such programmes are Jesus Week, which opens May 28, with a service at Abundant Life Assembly, and an island-wide Day of Prayer on June 1.

On that day, people are being encouraged to spend some time at prayer in homes, schools, churches and workplaces and attend a prayer rally at Queen's Park starting at 7 p.m.

The rally, which was being planned independently, now becomes part of Jesus Week.

Pictured above are representatives of the five groups as they laid hands on the Holy Bible and promised cooperation.

They are (from left) Patrick Tannis, founder of the Jesus Week programme; James Medford, coordinator of Operation intersession; Harry Mayers coordinator of the June 1 Day of Prayer; Barbara Gittens- Cumberbatch, founder of Christian Fellowship in the Workplace, and Courtney Selman, leader of Prayer Warriors International.
