THEY'VE done it again.

The Barbados Horticultural Society (BHS) has copped yet another gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, England.

Also, it was a double gold celebration, as two flower arrangers from the Barbados Flower Arranging Society, Jenny Weetch and Ian Ramsay, won the only gold in the Best Floral Arrangement (Session 1) category; it was also a first for the Caribbean.

Yesterday's win was lucky 13 for the BHS with its exhibit entitled: Go Barbados, which featured heliconias, orchids, ginger lillies, ornamental pineapples and anthuriums, all arranged in a fashion befitting of gold.

This was the 19th year for the BHS competing at the prestigious flower show.

Keith Miller of Miller Publishing, the group's PR rep, said it was a fantastic achievement for the team to win gold again.

"It is very difficult to consistently improve from year to year, create something new and exciting and continue to impress the judges. The members of the team are absolutely delighted," he said. (WB)
