GLITZ AND GLAMOUR. Bajan superstar Rihanna blowing a kiss to her fans as she made her way up the gold carpet at the second annual Barbados Music Awards (BMAs). High style and high-voltage performances were the order of the night as the cr�me de la cr�me of the Barbadian music industry turned out in their numbers. The event, which honoured both the veterans and the newcomers of local music, has become a fixture in the local entertainment calendar. Inset, Rihanna dazzling on the gold carpet in her long-trained fuschia and black Marc Bowers dress at the BMAs. Speaking at the BMAs on Friday night Prime Minister Owen Arthur also said the awards highlighted BarbadosÕ coming of age and that artistes like Rihanna were now taking their rightful place in society.
