THE ARTICLE appearing in The Saturday Sun of September 15, 2007 under the heading Family Planning Wins Safe Abortion is shocking!
How can the Barbados Family Planning Association (BFPA) be permitted to pat itself on the back in the Pressby broadcasting that it has received a first-of-its-kind award, an accreditation from its international body, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), for outstanding achievement in the area of safe abortion/termination of human life!
IT actually gloats over having won a cash prize of $25 000 for the destruction of human life! It has been paid/given a gift for destroying human life! The BFPA and the IPPF have dared to put a value on the destruction of thousands upon thousands of potential Barbadian children!
Everything in our universe has a beginning and an end! At the union of sperm and ovum, unrecognisable at first, is the beginning of human life - minute but precious in the sight of Almighty God. For this minute life to develop it must be protected in its natural place, the mother's womb.
Each human being is the result of a thought of God. Each is willed, each is loved, each is necessary.
Abortion is the silent holocaust - millions upon millions of potential human beings throughout the world snuffed out of existence! Some when they are infinitely small, others ready for birth, dismembered and thrown into garbage bins like so much rubbish! Shame!
It is ironical that some species of birds and animals are protected by the law in some countries, but throughout the whole world the human being is not valuable enough for protection!
The IPPF must shrivel up and die - and it will - a slow and painful death on the international stage, deprived of funding! The BFPA must also be deprived of funding - no funds for you for the destruction of our children. God works in mysterious ways - many are beginning to see
Mr George Griffith, you are the executive director of the BFPA - shame! You seek to be successful in politics, St Philip North to be exact.
I will not vote for you! Life issues, which will no doubt be debated here in this small Caribbean island in the not too distant future, as they are being debated in other parts of the world, are too important for us to make such a terrible blunder as to put a person such as you in a position of authority!
The right to life is the primordial right of all. All others depend on whether you're alive or not. Do not continue
to advocate the destruction of human life!
May God bless you, Mr Griffith.
