Grammy-award winner Rihanna came home to a heroÕs welcome yesterday.
The singing sensation was met by Prime Minister David Thompson, Government ministers and relatives when she stepped off a British Airways flight around 3:50 p.m.
There were hundreds of umbrellas in the arrival area, a tribute to her chart-topping song ÒUmbrellaÓ, as Barbadians converged en masse to celebrate the multiple award winner.
After the official welcome, Rihanna was the guest of honour at a cultural presentation featuring performances from DancinÕ Africa, Charles F. Broome Primary and Combermere School. (YB)
